About this program
Program to improve profitability of New Brunswick apple producers through establishment of productive orchards, new trees, support systems, and adoption of storage and quality assurance technologies.
Eligibility
Activities must be in New Brunswick. Current owner of land where orchard will be established (until project claim is paid). Member in good standing of Apple Growers of New Brunswick (AGNB) as prescribed under NB Natural Products Act, OR new entrant with commercial-scale goal and AGNB approval. Cannot be current/former public office holder or public servant in violation of conflict of interest guidelines.

Up to $15.00 per trellis supported tree, up to $11.00 per supported tree with permanent support stake, up to $5.00 per top grafted tree; 50% of eligible costs to maximum $10,000 for storage systems; on-farm constructed wooden bins funded at flat rate of $30 per bin.
