Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI)
About this program
The expanded RTRI provides up to $3 million in non-repayable contributions to help SMEs in Atlantic Canada impacted by tariffs. Support includes liquidity assistance (up to $2 million for 12 months) and investment/pivot projects (up to $1 million) to address financial pressures, boost productivity, strengthen supply chains, and build resilience.
Eligibility
SMEs in Atlantic Canada impacted by tariffs with annual revenue of at least $1 million that were viable prior to tariff imposition. Eligible entities include incorporated companies, corporations, co-operatives, individuals operating a business, Indigenous-owned businesses, non-profit organizations, industry associations, boards of trade, and provincial entities. Must show at least 25% of sales to U.S./China OR demonstrate direct/indirect tariff impact.
