Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO)
About this program
DRAO provides financial assistance to homeowners, tenants, small owner-operated businesses and farms, and not-for-profit organizations whose essential property was damaged or lost in a natural disaster where insurance is not available. It is activated only for specific disasters in designated areas, and covers cleanup, repairs or replacement of essential property, and emergency expenses, up to $250,000 per application.

Small owner-operated farms, small owner-operated businesses, homeowners (primary residence), residential tenants, and not-for-profit organizations in designated disaster activation areas are eligible. Program is activated only for specific natural disasters in specific geographic areas.
