Honey Bee Industry Development Program
About this program
Supports New Brunswick beekeepers to expand honey bee colonies, purchase/construct hive equipment, and invest in on-farm efficiency equipment to support wild blueberry pollination services.
Eligibility
Registered New Brunswick beekeepers (2025) with minimum 50 colonies or pollination services in 2024, must be NBBA members in good standing (2025), and make colonies available for wild blueberry pollination. New entrants whose goal is commercial beekeeping eligible if they have been employed by experienced beekeeper for one season, completed recognized beekeeping course, established mentor relationship, or managed 100+ colonies for 2+ winter seasons. Must submit Production Management Plan with disease control and overwintering practices.
